Big Bar.jpg

Weytk, I am member of the Adams Lake te Secwépemc Nation. I am a guest residing in the Stó:lō Territory in Chilliwack. I was raised with my adoptive parents and twin brother on a small farm in Matsqui.

I have a daughter who is also an Adams Lake community member and an archaeologist. My son is a Union Bar community member and owner of Riverside Contractors.

I began my role as a Community Development worker 30 years ago in the Stó:lō Territory.  I have coordinated many different projects and community events throughout BC and Canada. In addition built relationships with many First Nations communities and partners in Emergency Planning and Response.

I am honoured and grateful for all the Elders and Knowledge Keepers who have supported me reconnecting with my culture. So many have provided me with guidance, experience and respect in each project or event in my roles and responsibilities to date.
